Victorian Pinchbeck Cross 1860’s with Natural Turquoise and Side-Set Black Onyx
An outstanding Victorian cross featuring turquoise and agate set in the most compelling angle, I could not be more delighted with this geometric treasure. Circa 1860, in excellent shape, I think that this cross presents a most superb silhouette. On a black ribbon, or even a chatelain, this would be an outrageously delicious addition to any collection.
age/origin: 1860’s, England
size: 2.25” with bale
condition: excellent, please see photos for more, she’s truly a stand out, exemplary even of the fashions of the 1865 Godey Ladie’s book.
