Superb Georgian Ring in 15k with Emerald Center and Pearl Halo

Sale price Price $2,550.00 Regular price

For the privileged and elite, the Georgian era saw a great increase in evening pursuits as improvements in the manufacture of candles gave rise to longer burning and brighter candles. Balls and soirees of sumptuous proportions rose to exceptional heights. Thus the divide between day and evening jewelry marked a new chapter in jewelry history. Women often wore pearls, garnets, moss agate, or colored gems or paste in the daytime. The most formal evening events, courts, balls, and receptions were the only appropriate times to wear diamond jewelry.

This special Georgian ring would most likely have been used as daytime jewelry, featuring e center emerald surrounded by a pearl halo all the way down the shoulders. A gorgeous addition to any stack, collection, or look, this ring is rare to come by.
