A stunning Renaissance Revival brooch in the shape of a stylized Maltese cross, this example creates a scrolling opulence in its design. Reminiscent of the dramatic Florentine jewels of the Medici family, or even the textiles- recall the gowns of Eleanor of Toledo, as rendered by Agnolo Bronzino in the middle of the 16th century.
