Stunning 9k Victorian Padlock Bracelet with Boule Design

Sale price Price $950.00 Regular price $1,995.00

One of the more overt symbols of love in Victorian jewelry is the heart padlock. Hanging from a curb link or gate link bracelet, these charming pieces rose in popularity during the mid to late 19th century, reflecting the highly regarded values of chastity and loyalty. They were typically gifted to women by their beloved before they traveled for an extended period, with the lock protecting their love for one another. The padlock could then be unlocked by the key held in his possession upon his return.

An extremely smart design, this gorgeous padlock bracelet has that chic je-ne-sais-qoi that padlock bracelets always possess. This one with her pink tone gold and beautiful “375” hallmark hidden among the foliate scrolling of the padlock’s etching is especially divine. A sensual texture is enjoyed by the chain, with rare boule additions to each link. Padlock comes on and off with a safety chain attached.
