Cameos, or carved profile portraits, have been used as decorative accessories since Ancient Rome. However, they made a huge comeback during the Victorian period, following through to the Art Deco period and beyond. 

Featuring a Greco-Roman bust of a young woman, this gorgeous example is massively scaled with a hand-faceted inset cameo bezeled within a stunning pierced setting.
