The natural world was of particular interest to the Victorians, reflected in the jewelry of the period. Forget-me-nots, ferns, ivy, violets, butterflies, and doves were worked into designs in keeping with the Victorian preference for the elaborate and intricate. Forget-me-nots, for example, were set into mourning jewelry in memory of a loved one. As gemstones were also used to communicate further meaning, the forget-me-not flowers also symbolized fidelity and true love.

This sweet little sentimental beauty has a certain je-ne-sais quoi that really sets her apart with her loosely cruciform design of four flowers buttressing a central turquoise. Extremely light and nimble, she is currently a size 7.5!
