Pinchbeck is a metal alloy that is mainly used for manufacturing jewelry. Christopher Pinchbeck, a London watchmaker, was the first person to discover this metallic alloy. This new alloy looked almost exactly like Gold and was named after its inventor.

Pinchbeck sure looks made of gold but was a much less expensive option. It was a great favorite, especially with the Georgian and Victorian people, as it reduced the risk of theft. The wealthy used them as “traveling jewelry”. These pieces of jewelry were also widely used for theatrical purposes as costume jewelry.

Although usually paired with imitation gemstones, this stunning exception features a spinning banded agate gemstone. Banded agate is the stone of beauty, harmony, and fertility. It increases self-confidence and is incredibly supportive of health and wellbeing. Helping to restore the balance of the body & mind, especially the digestive system.
