A super rare Victorian cameo ring in 18ct, this all original, bezel set ring of the highest quality. When I found this ring, I did not take it off for a week. In fact, the amount of willpower it is requiring for me to list it on the site is staggering— but here we are! A very precious depiction of perhaps Diana, with her bow and arrow, is accentuated by the hound at her heels. The subject is reminiscent of the Pompeo Batoni painting of Diana with her Hound, conversing with Cupid- an 18th century work on display at the MET.
Measured 20mm x 14mm
Materials- 18ct, shell
Condition: excellent, for her age! A superb all original Victorian example c. 1870.
