Georgian Blue Enamel and Pearl Earrings Circa 1810

Sale price Price $1,387.50 Regular price $1,850.00

The Georgian period consisted of handcrafted jewelry with incredibly labor-intensive processes. The artisans had to hand hammer gold ingots and other metals into thin sheets before even starting to fabricate pieces.

Jewelers during the Georgian period often melted down what they considered out-of-date pieces in order to make newer pieces reflecting current trends, like this gorgeous pair, for instance.

This pair of earrings features beautifully-paired blue enamel and pearls and have about 1" in length.
