The jewelry designers of the Art Deco period embraced modernism and the advances in technological innovation and machinery. A new genre of design was born – bold, geometric shapes with clean lines and symmetry, providing a more industrial feel. We can see with this Pre-Deco necklace and its geometric look how it is a perfect introduction to the era. 

The lines created by a lavalier are sleek, elegant, and sensual.  Finely crafted gold with beautiful detail, ending in a single shining gemstone, like a tear running off a cheek, or a dewdrop on the tip of a leaf. In pendant form, the lavalier often has a delicate shape, sometimes with feminine and floral motifs.

This necklace is an exception to the rules, with two pearls dangling instead of the one, as well as two sapphire stones atop each one. Pearls are the ultimate symbol for wisdom, while Sapphire is not only September's but also a symbol of royalty and believed to attract abundance, blessings, and gifts.
