Exceptional 18k Victorian Lace Collar Garnet Brooch

Sale price Price $1,550.00 Regular price

During the Early Victorian period when the Industrial Revolution surged ahead Romantic Period jewelry was very sentimental. It often reflected the new love of a young couple. Gemstones were often set in claw-like prongs or collet settings, a metal that encircled the outer rim of the gemstone, and were used in a wide variety during this period.

With associations with the heart, blood, inner fire, and life force, garnets have long been considered symbols of love. Garnet's symbolism extends to friendship and also happens to be the January birthstone! A gorgeous piece to add to any blouse, blazer, chain, hair, etc. Featuring a juicy center garnet, a gold lacer collar detail surrounds it perfectly.
