9k Vintage Carnelian, Onyx, and Bloodstone Flip Fob
Fobs are charms or ornaments that were commonly worn by men in the Victorian Era as counterweights to their pocket watches. The fob was attached by a strap, chain, or ribbon to help the wearer locate the timepiece. Fashionable Victorian men often wore many fobs at once, much like a ladies charm bracelet.
Most fobs were made of gold-filled metal, and featured semi-precious stones such as bloodstone or carnelian. This perfect example features onyx, as well as bloodstone and carnelian, and is hugged by the nicest 9k gold.
