14k Victorian Dangle Earrings

Sale price Price $995.00 Regular price

Earrings were essential in the Grand Period but their size and style fluctuated widely throughout the era. Archaeological revival gold amphorae and drops decorated with granulation, twisted wire, and rosettes dominated earring motifs. Hoops, drops, spheres, crosses, flowers, and stars were other favored subjects for an earring design. With the Victorian penchant for whimsy, novelty jewelry sawfish, lizards, birdcages, bells, tools, and other everyday objects dangle from earlobes during the 1870s.

This dainty pair of earrings feature garden-like details as well as a flower design at the top of each earring. The dangling spikes add an edgy feel to the feminine details throughout, making this even more of a special pair for any collection.
