Wonderful 18k Pearl and Emerald Forget-Me-Not Ring
The Victorian language of flowers added an extra symbolic strand to the forget-me-not’s message of remembrance: that of true love. And because the Victorians adored both sentimental and symbolic jewelry, and because the five-petalled forget-me-not was relatively simple to depict, it became a common motif.
An extremely delicate early 19th-century example circa 1840, this ring is in excellent shape with a very detailed shank featuring two beautiful flowers on the shoulders.
